Mac OS X: Free preference pane Automatic lets you subscribe to virtually any content delivered via RSS, automatically downloading everything matching your preferences. That means podcasts, videocasts, and feeds of your favorite torrents—like for your favorite TV show.

A tool like Automatic works particularly well with something like previously mentioned ezRSS, a web site that creates custom feeds for individual TV shows. It’s probably not quite as streamlined for TV watchers as previously mentioned ted, but it also runs as a preference pane rather than a separate standalone app. You’ll still need a BitTorrent client to do the rest of your downloading after Automatic grabs the torrent file (we’d recommend Transmission).
