Yummy. Meet the Action! M25 from Projection Design. While Londoners will be distracted by its oxymoronic name, the rest will note that this world’s smallest 1080p DLP (9.2 x 10.9 x 3.7-inches) still manages to bring a set of respectable specs for the darkest of home theaters.
Namely, a single-chip 0.95-inch TI DMD, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 5000:1 contrast, and a 1000 lumen brightness off a 220W UHP lamp. Inputs include HDMI 1.3, HDCP-enabled DVI, component and more with the ability to control the beast over your IP or RS232 home automation system.
Both digital inputs also support copper cable runs of up to 100-feet at full 1080p resolution.
While we’d hope for a bit more brightness, we’ll have to wait until the October launch to see what kind of pricing we’re talking about before making too much of a fuss. Picture of the backside after the break.
